Like the monkey park it was definitely worth the extra effort to get there and it is clear to see why the Japanese place such cultural and even spiritual importance on Fuji as it is so aesthetically pleasing and absolutely dwarfs everything around it.       ... bolognese, bread and naan, as well as a Japanese beef curry with rice, followed by a decadent dessert. I'm not usually a dessert person but ended up having one with ice-cream, apple strudel with fruit and cream (although I avoided the cream).
