... in the world, and the snow tunnel is pretty amazing. This year the snow tunnel is 19 metres high. Now that is a lot of snow
After visiting the tunnel i head off on foot to see the frozen lake and some mountain views. Its not that cold up here, probably around 5 to 6 degrees. Walking through the ankle deep snow is hard work so i dont notice the cold.
Now its time to queue again to get down the mountain. I arrive back at the hotel around 7pm. What a great day.

After dinner, it was back to the room for more laundry. The staff had made our beds up and rolled out the futons. I should have placed another mattress underneath. Just having only one futon was a little hard. It will be two tomorrow night.

... to everything on the road. But after reaching the first rest area, I had felt quite confident. Aqua, the small Prius hybrid car by Toyota is quite smooth, quiet, and oil-saving. The screen shows the oil consumption by km/liter, and the number usually fluctuated between 25-35. (On the last day when I filled the tank, we only consumed 21 liters for 600+ km! around 30 km/l, very impressive!)

The drive up the mountain ...
