    ... Kingswear and overlooking one of the finest natural harbours in the UK, Dartmouth has a strong maritime heritage. After parking our car we walked along the wharf where people sat with lines in the water. We discovered that they were 'fishing' for crabs. From the shop opposite the wharf the would purchase the line a bucket, a nest and raw bacon. The bacon was placed into a mesh sack and this would attract the small crabs.
