... respect they had for me, each other, and the Chinese people. They represented themselves, families, the University of Oklahoma, and the Confucius Institute well. I am proud of all of them and will miss each of them.

Again, I would like to thank Hanban, the Confucius Institute, OU, the parents, friends and family, and my wife who took care of our 3 kids while I was away. Until next time.

I love it when people are thinking of me, but that's a little ridiculous! Not to mention John, who went into "take care of the elderly" mode. Ryan, being the designated driver takes it steady but the baton is passed on to Kristin who outperforms both Karen and I, even stopping to 'bong' a beer like she's drinking a cup of tea. Sad to say goodbye to Ryan and family, we leave Tulsa for my relatives in Cedar Rapids although after the week Karen and I both feel as though we are close to needing some AA meetings! China Bound! Day 1

We all arrived at the airport between 4:30 and 5 am to check-in. Traveling internationally our bags have to be under 50 pounds. Most of us were at about 49.5 lbs.

We are excited to go to China and start our adventure in Beijing. We have a long flight a head of us. We fly less than two hours to Chicago, 4 hour layover (didn't happen), and a 13 + hour flight to Beijing.

We will update you all as soon as we can.
