    ... Race, rocks from outer space to ones that are millions of years old - even touched a rock from Mars! Diamonds worth millions and books that are priceless.

    Lots of walking, all tired but happy to have spent some time here. Finished with dinner ( and a delicious Raspberry Cosmopolitan - yum!) at Cafe du Parc at The Willard. Beautiful, historic, friendly. Off in the morning to Niagara Falls, just for the day.

    ... group was doing a similar trip from Florida north as far as Canada, but unlike us they are completing it in two weeks.
    We are now taking a short break from our travels and heading back to Illinois during the weekend. Next Wednesday Jens flies back to Copenhagen to attend a 50th soldier buddy anniversary. Our trip will resume when he returns in early September. There will be a short hiatus in the blog. See you again in September! ...

    ... centre of the museum and was the best display of one that I have ever seen. I was also able to get some good shots of it. There were various other planes around the museums including modern jets and antique aircraft plus another Concorde. They also had the B29 the 'Enola Gay' which one of the planes that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima. In another part of the museum they had a tower which had a display of ...
