          ... afternoon was coming to a close. We passed on our thanks and bid our farewells and hit the freeway again. Damian hit a detour to Mullholland drive so we could see the city and the famous Hollywood sign.           Today I drove from the valley over to Venice Beach to see an old friend, Jim, who has his law office right on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Amazing location. I had some time before he got off work and so I wandered all around Venice on a beautiful, sunny day.
