We have stayed in moré than 30 different Marriotts around the country, 4 this week. Though this one has made an attempt to update, it must be noted that you don't noticed what has been done before you noticed what hasn't been done. The dated carpeting in the rooms and throughout the hallways is gross. The mini couch is stained and worn down. The laminate flooring is poorly fitted with gaps around the perimeter. Again, there are updates that are very nice but the rest brings it down. We stay at Marriott for it's consistency from city to city, brand to brand. This one doesn't cut it. It was clean but didn't feel like it because of its dated features. I wouldn't stay at this one again.

Tallahassee is not just the capitol of Florida, more importantly it is the home of Marcus's alma mater, Florida State University (FSU). Go Seminoles! While this may not seem important to some, it is important to me because if you know Marcus, you know he tells wonderful stories…and some of my favorites are from the Sigma Nu fraternity house at FSU. By the way, do you know that FSU has a circus school? I do, because ...

Tomorrow morning we head to Gainesville where we will meet with my Grand Niece, who is just finishing her sophomore year at the University of Florida (Go Gators!).
That's it from here. We did pass the 3,000 mile mark for our trip today.

A lively conversation ensued regarding our next days drive considering the tropical storm Ana was expected to hit Charleton and Myrtle beach tomorrow morning, our scheduled next stop. Oh my! Watching the news and weather channel and Fay freaking out a little, it was decided that our next destination would be Savannah, North Carolina, 120 miles away from the affected ...
