We turned back to the north at Gulf Port and returned to I-10 for the push to Tallahassee. It was a long day of driving with a time change, getting us to the hotel after 5 PM. Tomorrow we plan to visit the capitol before heading for ...

... encrusted pork loin, oven baked potatoes with cubed carrots, onion and turnip and a tossed salad. A lively conversation ensued regarding our next days drive considering the tropical storm Ana was expected to hit Charleton and Myrtle beach tomorrow morning, our scheduled next stop. Oh my! Watching the news and weather channel and Fay freaking out a little, it was decided that our next destination would be Savannah, North Carolina, 120 miles away from the affected ...

... miles, big difference from TX, but then FL is the home to a lot of older people, but also today there are a lot of Texans in FL. We must have seen more than a dozen Texas cars along I-10. Guess Disney World is going to be busy next week. We also saw a lot of bikers probably headed for Daytona Beach for Bike Week.

Anyway we trudged along stopping at every other rest area. We crossed over to the Eastern Time Zone about 3:30 so if you think about it, we have lost ...
