After a day of tidying and packing up and goodbyes in dillon followed by a day of travel, today was our first of 2 days at Disneyland. The excitement levels in the morning were extremely high! We had a VERY early start - as it is Martin Luther king day public holiday here in the US today the park is opened at 8am and as we are staying at one of the Disney hotels we get an hour ...

... chance they got to punch, beat, kick and start any kind of fight with the Sharks. Typical ice hockey that we have seen and heard about before. Gloves go flying, sticks, helmets and even shirts are torn or thrown off in order to get a better punch in. Crazy.

We've also sampled a lot of the local cuisines and microbreweries. There's a lot of really, really great beer from the microbreweries here. I wasn't really a fan of beer before we came here, but now I know more about ...

... next in line - Soarin' Over California, which had a huge IMAX sized screen and, with your seat swinging in the air, provided the illusion of hang gliding over the spectacular sights of California. Amy and Dave loved this ride, which was breath taking. Unfortunately it made Sam ill from motion sickness, knocking him around for an hour or so and meaning he missed out on our second run on the Cars movie ride! Poor dude. The Monsters Inc ride and ...

... 8220;Prince Ali” but that was a bit of a damp squib – the finale of the song barely had any dancers or cool stuff going on, it just sort of ended. There was some good effects – including a great snake – at the end. The “Whole New World” sequence was pretty good. But probably the worst part of the show was Aladdin himself! His acting was just awful!

Good fun though, and Rich and Lucy really liked it. After the show, we went over to Cars ...

First off I would like to thank everyone
for your lovely comments. I do read each and every one of them and truly
appreciate that you all take time to comment.

Today was my 19th Birthday and
what's a better way to spend it than at Disney?!

We started off this morning by eating lunch
with some Disney princesses at "Ariel’s Grotto". The staff there were wonderful
and the food was divine. We got to of ...
