      ... we started walking back towards the Downtown area to the train station. We cut through China Town just before reaching the train station and picked up some Chinese Buns for Rowan.       ... no tolls! Finally we got all kitted out with our bikes and set off on the bike tour, what they don't tell you is San Francisco has extremely steep hills!       ... Nick was not with us on Wednesday. We took a scenic route back to San Francisco and saw the Cliff House restaurant at Lands End. If we would have been smart we would have eaten there but we ended up at Gussies, a place known for its fried chicken and waffles. They served the waffles with "brown sugar syrup" (reminded me of the syrup my Mom used to make). It was good. For an extra $2 you could get maple syrup.
