Left Tampa Bay early this morning and headed west through the panhandle. Stopped for the night in Mobile. On to Louisiana in the morning.
Since we decided to stay in Mobile an extra night, today was the day we did our sight-seeing. Luckily the weather cooperated by being mostly clear and warm. So this morning we had a good breakfast and started out.
First we drove over to Biloxi for a visit to the Visitors Center, the Biloxi Lighthouse and Jefferson Davis' Home, Beauvoir. Then back to Mobile to visit the Mobile Carnival Museum. We ended our day with a drive to Foley to eat at Lambert's (Home of ...
... he didn't think we could make it (as we passed, he saw several RVs in the parking lot), so we continued on down the street. We drove several blocks and did not find a way to turn around. By this time we had decided to just continue on to Mobile and maybe stop in Biloxi on our way back to Texas.

Woke up in Montgomery, to freezing rain, wind, clouds, etc. Really cold. 38 degrees. Decided to forget going north to Memphis. Some other time maybe. Decided to head back to I-10 and Mobile.
