    Each day that went by was like another blow to my heart...knowing I had only a few days left to spend with my husband before he left for Liberia...for such an unknown time...and trying to give him the space and time with his own family as well...so I was just going back and forth emotionally with being involved and then trying to back off, being involved and backing off...I was exhausted emotionally.

    Had a fun day yesterday, first stopping to tour the Mission San Juan Bautista, and then heading to Santa Cruz for lunch, beach time, and then dinner, too, before we went grocery shopping on our way home. Whew! Packed a lot in, and no wonder we were so tired when we got home last night!

    ... br> After an check in at the hotel, we got to our room. What can I say about the room....in one word, small. But on the bright side it had a king size bed, relatively comfortable, it was clean, especially the bathroom that has a nice size sink and tub and best of all, a good, hot, shower! Which I really needed!

    After a while we headed out to explore. The street in front of the hotel has a pedestrian walkway in front. Wow there are a lot of people walking ...

    ... stuff. We had Chinese takeaway for dinner and after that I went with Angie to one of her friend's houses and learnt how to make a photo album. Sounds a bit weird, but it was really fun! Angie makes these amazing little scrapbooks as gifts for people, they look so pretty and she told me they are really easy to make.
