After visiting Barb, we went to the Colorado Railroad Museum. There were a lot of trains to see but we were a little disappointed because most of them were blocked off so we couldn't go inside the trains. We did go in the few we were able to go into.
Then back to the RV Park.
So post office ( natch) first thing and nearby on a large office door, I saw a lawyer's brass name panel with the logo of a pair of boxing gloves! Then off by light rail to Golden 'Watch for wildlife' on road sign - funny ! Golden was proper old low key western style town -not Disneyfied in any way and housing the Colorado School of Mines and Victorian American mountaineering centre and Buffalo Bill's tombstone. I liked it because there were many leafy unmarked roads ...
... and this is a fantastic place to visit. Our next stop is only a couple of kilometres away.
Dinosaur Ridge is truly a wonderful area - just over the ridge from the Red Rocks Park, is the best evidence of dinosaurs, with many fossilised bones, and footprints evident in this small area.
