Long trip home
... and met us there. After dinner, we all headed home. I arrived home at 10:40 PM, which was. 5:40 AM Rome time. I took a shower and was in bed by 11 PM. I did not have to go to work on Friday, so I did not set an alarm. I woke up at 11:00 AM! Guess I was pretty tired! We will try to post some more photos from the trip. Day 23 - Stayed in Chicago
... foods! So I just couldn't leave Chicago without tasting an authentic Chicago style pizza. And boy was it worth it! Absolutly delicious! Waited over 35 minutes for it but it was worth every second. So big, thick and full of cheese that I ate only one slice and was full (and I was very hungry when I started!). I now have leftovers for tonight's supper, breakfast and lunch tomorrow! Yummy!

Hit the Road
... While a longer route, it was quicker & there weren't a million tolls! I can say this is the way to go, when driving past Chicago.
We made our 1st major stop in Portage, Michigan to visit with an old friend, Erin (Kurtz) Michael. It was great catching up. Thank you Erin for your hospitality!
We spent the night in Kalamazoo and were off again in the morning headed for the border.

... summer, moving into autumn. My friends took me to a drive-in hot dog stand so I had an american hot dog for lunch with some lemonade - lemonade in America is not sprite, its actually real squeezed lemons so its not fizzy at all! Yum!
Tomorrow we are going shopping at the mall so I will be able to get lots of fun things.
There are heaps of chipmunks and raccoons around so I will try and get some photos of them.
