      After 5 months of cold & snow it was time for some beach action. The hostel was literally 100 steps from the beach, perfect! By far I was the whitest person on that beach, so much so that people stared at me! As it was completely off season the main people there were either Caribbean/Hispanics or old retired white American. this latter group were the darkest people!

      ... I can get use to doing this.

      Well... thats it... our time in South Beach has basically come to an end... a few beers to end the night and we say our goodbyes to Elizabeth and the South Beach sun!.

      Tomorrow morning we are heading to the Keys! we have a short drive.. so we have time for a quick swim before we head in the morning!

      I think i need to move to the beach... sooner than later!

      ... in Fort Lauderdale - knew everyone and his dog by name. The dogs? They were Bam Bam and Pebbles). We sat outside and ate. We tried grits for the first time, and I found this out: there is a reason the South lost the Civil War. The rest of the breakfast was acceptable. 'Nuff said.
