    ... it was onto lunch and the western edge of the everglades where it meets the gulf. Lunch included gator nuggets (which tasted like chicken) then we had a boat ride out through some of the 10,000 plus mangrove islands which form the estuary. On this boat ride we saw lots more birds, dophins and a sea turtle so we’ve certainly seen our fair share of wild life today. A 2 hour drive and we were back in Fort Lauderdale.

    ... sprig of thyme (they seem to like their cocktails with herbs in Fort Lauderdale). There's about a dozen flat screen TVs circling the inside of the bar playing different sporting channels.

    Leaving the Pig, I saw a bizarre but brilliant mobile bar that was powered by participant pedal power. It's operated by a business called Cycle Party. Presumably you have to book the whole thing out - pity it wasn't like a hop on hop off bus otherwise I would have hopped on.

    ... them in real life are often two different experiences. And in this case, it was very confusing. We had to pay attention to numerical progress of the markers for one channel without confusing them with the numerical markers for the other channel because they all overlapped. And the water was skinny and shallow. Then we had to make a very tight u turn directly in front of a sea wall in between two sets of channel markers. And finally we had to remember to switch to red on right ...

    ... felt like we were getting the whole backpacking thing a bit wrong when we walked around amongst all the yachts but whatever... After that we went to have dinner with my friend from School, Tolon, who studies at U Miami together with some of his friends.     ... guy takes his luggage over, then these two women who checked their car in right before us takes their luggage to the shuttle, and since no one is moving, we take our luggage to the shuttle. The large group of waiters has not moved, so we have no idea what they’re doing. The shuttle loads up with people and luggage and off we go to the port.
