... The international activation takes 48 hours so we’re still waiting on that.
We’ve been eating on board enjoying the new bar-b-q very much. Tonight with the rain threat I think we’ll bake a pizza in the oven. Although I’m not a big fan of electric ovens on boats - I’d rather have propane - I must say this oven is so much nicer than the one we had on “Purrfect Passage”. It’s clean and elements don’t ...
... but so far no luck. I recall in the past we’ve used Panera successfully but there’s only one in Bradenton and it’s quite a distance. In the end it was what we used and managed to use Skype to call Mum and Dad. Unfortunately the local library has very restricted hours and days of operation.
We had to return the first rental car - a Chev Malibu - today as we only rented them for a week at a time in order ...
... was preventing my sleep. We have two other heaters so simply used them to warm the cabin before breakfast. It only made it into the high 60s today but the forecast promises better temperatures next week.
This truly is a “power” boat. We have two stereo systems, a 12 CD changer and player, a flat screen TV that picks up HD channels now that we bought an adaptor (great for up-to-date weather). We even watched “The Bishop’s ...
... even ate warm smoked mullet for lunch today - yummy! It was a long day but we think tomorrow we should be able to move aboard. The forecast is for 80% chance of showers so we'll see but we should be able to dodge the showers for the last remaining things to be loaded on board. We ate in tonight having picked up some take-out salads and flat breads at Crispers. That's another chain I wish we had at home.
Bradenton, Florida, United States 9lives... fancy new "Masquerade II" graphics on. And today we ordered the wooden plaque that needs to be mounted in the boat to display the official registration number and net tonnage. There is a Manta 42 sailing cat in the yard with us. The couple live in Punta Gorda but are having some work done on their boat bottom here too. Coincidentally they also have a sailing cat in the North Channel so we were able to compare stories about sailing there ...

Woo-hoo - we made it to the boat today and she looks great! Today was warm and sunny with a light breeze -perfect for offloading the U-Haul and trying to find spots for everything on the boat. There was a little mildew inside but the boat smelled good and I’m sure the Bounce sheets and buckets of Damp Rid did the trick in controlling humidity through the summer ...
... of the hotel. We picked up nuts, salsas, relishes and sauces in Georgia taking advantage of Georgia’s bounty - peaches, Vidalia onions, pecans and peanuts. I even saw cotton and cotton plants up close.
The Thanksgiving weekend traffic really slowed us down and reminded us of Hwy 400 at its worst. We were so happy to see the familiar territory around Tampa. As Richard remarked we have now traveled I75 from end to end (Sault Ste Marie - Miami) and everything in between.

Riverview, Florida, United States gospeltimeDay 50 Got up early after a night of not sleeping well. Got dressed and ready to go to Busch Gardens with Sherri, a good customer at Rosemary and Johns restaurant. We had talked a few times and hit it off. She invited me to go and at first I turned it down so I could stay here at the house but the lady's son told me to go so I did. I had a blast. We talked and I let my hair down a little and we laughed so hard we cried ...
Clearwater, Florida, United States gratitude... the floor removed and letting you fall into the 'Twilight Zone' - very very cool! We took a day out of the park and drove to the Kennedy Space centre to see the home of space travel - well it is in my eyes. It is here that the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo Missions were launched so has a massive sense of History. What surprised me was the number of Launchpads - they are scattered down the coast, all for different types of rocket or weather (I ...
