Towneplace Stes Marriott Little Little Rock

I left OKC with sun and cloud and 44 F. But as miles of farmfields and trees passed, the clouds thickened up and I wondered when the thermometer would hit 50. It did in spite of the persistent cloud cover, about an hour outside of Little Rock. But, hey, it did not rain.
Saw more of the city than ...

... but I just didn't feel like doing that. Whenever I stayed in one place for more than a few days I got restless: I think I need friends and/or some more stability, like having my own place and being able to unpack and have my own room, to stay in one place for any longer amount of time, which I just wouldn't have while traveling.

So I'm back, and I hope this experience has changed me for the better. I plan on trying ...

Ok I have to do a better job of writing in this blog every night as I am forgetting what has happened and what we have eaten ( for those of you that are foodies.) Ok so right now we are sitting poolside inthe Best Western Amarillo Inn it is 8.45 and we are waiting for our pizza and pasta delivery. Debbie is on her laptop, me on mine and the girls playing so nice in the pool together. Ok so Little Rock was great. We stayed ...

... even did a little singing for our car, about heading east bound, the song was a little out dated but we forgive them anyways. Their coaching skills make-up for it. I guess American Idol is out of the question..sorry! Parents we definately already MISS you!!!! I promise everyone is doing great and are a blast to have with us. ... our predetermined stop at North Little
Rock. As we were driving, we got a wonderful surprise when we realized
we were now in the central time zone and had gained an hour! So we
arrived at the hotel around 8 pm (CST) and the kids headed straight to
the indoor pool. They swam for about an hour before we got hot showers
and got in bed. We have a room with 2 queen beds and the kids chose to
sleep together in one bed.

I hope everyone enjoys this misadventure with my Dad and myself. We will give updates and pictures as we go along. The official time of departure will be Friday? We r only 2 WEEKS behind, but should be for a good trip. Well will talk to u on the 12th

Kinda lazy start to the day and more turtle feeding whilst fending off the Canadian geese. It is hot and sticky - we really feel like we're in the South now. It was only a short drive to Little Rock - lots of trees and greenery. Found the $53 La Quinta easily and we have a good room. It is opposite the zoo - so in 95F sticky heat we headed off. ... per day. We arrived 15 minutes early and were behind over 100 people in line. After waiting in the gift shop for about 30 minutes, we were allowed to get in line for another 15 minute wait. Then we boarded the bus and crossed the street. For the next hour we toured the mansion while workers yelled at us to keep moving.
