Today was Rod Broadbelt’s annual hike in Raven Rock State Park. The hike started at 8, but it’s over an hour drive to the park so I left at 630 and got to the park a few minutes before opening. We headed South to North Carolina to spend a couple of days visiting Toby at his Ski school in Lillington. As soon as we crossed the border between Virginia and North Carolina the accents changed; all 'e' sounds became a twangey 'ei'. And y'all became a very common word, it was just great!
