We arrived safely in Boise. Had another great wheelchair attendant who even helped us out to the rental car with our luggage. I have to admit that given how difficult air travel is, the attendants that helped us were GREAT and made it much easier. So we rested a little then went to dinner. It had already been a long day so it was dinner then bed. I picked a place called the RedFeater Lounge. All of their ingredients are local (within 100 miles)! We both had the Cedar Plank Grilled Idaho Trout...

I'm going to start with Boise, Idaho even though I'm living in Ontario, Oregon. It's the closest that the www.travelpod.com FB application has to my home.

Anyway, I felt I needed to keep a travel log of where I will be going, what I will be doing so that friends and family will be able to keep up ...
Boise, Idaho, United States anne.osborne... 3 nights) with a tiny little balcony, drink and food stains were around the walls, no iron and ironing board like there use to be, enough coffee, sugar, and creamer for only one person each night. Most of all unable to sleep due to the rude people over and around us that walked heavily on the floors until 1:00 a.m. (even during the week nights) left ...
Meridian, Idaho, United States smilnlady... I think she was pretty shocked. It was great to see her! She has been living in Boise since late May and I am proud to say we were her visitors from California/Germany. After the introductions, we headed to Carino’s, an Italian restaurant (similar to Olive Garden, but better) to have dinner. They had a couple’s special, where you got to choose soup or salad, two entrees, and two bite size desserts for $19.99. Pretty ...
Boise, Idaho, United States flyingfonteins... You guessed the answer…we had to drive down a twisting road but it the bridge was wider.

The campground we stayed at in Idaho has a vegetable garden for the guests. The owner gave me a cucumber and a lemon cucumber he had (they are round yellow cucumbers that are not as seedy as a regular one) and Terry picked us a few corn on the cobs from the field and I picked the tomatoes so for a change I had a vegetable dinner.
Boise, Idaho, United States scher-airOur friends the Blickenstaffs took us to the airport (thanks guys) made it out of Boise alive, don’t know yet what we forgot. Flight on United to Chicago was average. HOWEVER. Flight on Lufrtansa Air to Frankfurt was like going back to old-style commercial flight with current technology. First glimpse of all that orderliness and practicality. Actual dinner ...
Boise, Idaho, United States mcfarlanes... visit the Old Penitentiary and walk the Oregon Trail. I took some photos of the new house. It is very cool with a lot of architectural features. I am staying in the basement, but this basement is better than most houses. It has two large family areas and at least 4 rooms off the main room. It also has a complete kitchen and bath.
Boise, Idaho, United States leonardgrill... 21 Bichon's with them. Apparently there is a local dog show that all of them are entered into. On Tuesday we had a leisurely morning and pushed off to see the Birds of Prey Center. Very interesting and it was the first time that either of us had see a California Condor. Very good documentary on these birds which I hope will benefit us when we are in the Grand Canyon. We also explored the area a bit. The weather is unreal. When we arrived ...
Boise, Idaho, United States shipling... I came through again in April 1999 as I moved from Chattanooga to Seattle, and stopped at Kay's again for lunch (Jim died in 1994). Boise is a pleasant city, not too big, nice mountains all around, and a river runs through it. Facts: Idaho was the FORTY-THIRD state. Date: July 3, 1890 State Nickname: Gem State Key Words: Woods, River, Wilderness, Ski, French, Train French trappers named this tree-rich area along the river Les Bois (The Woods). Today Boise (BOY ...
