New York is an experience - we learnt a few things: don't bother looking for lanes or road markers, they don't exist; if someone indicates to change lanes, they will do whether there is space for them or not; don't look around at the sights, you think there is time but there isn't; lastly don't trust ANYONE - that's drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, van drivers, tourists, street performers. ... to drive around Manhattan for 2.5 hours, often doubling back on himself. After he had got lost trying to get us to our apartment, Bec and I decided that another 30 minutes of aimless driving around the West Village was in no ones best interest, so we got out and walked the last 2 blocks ourselves.
All up travel time today - almost 22 hrs with just a half hour sleep.
We are going to sleep well ...

We started today in Central Park. We caught the B train to 72nd to start at the Imagine mosaic. I had to check the map to find we were right across the road from the Dakota Apartments. We went through Strawberry Fields and the across the Bow Bridge, through the ramble where some blue birds were the only colour we saw and then up to Belvedere Castle. From there we headed through the Shakespeare Garden and past the Diana Ross playground ...
