      ... the safety/lifeboat drill. Immediately after, the ship set sail and we went poolside for a bowl of Sail Away Punch, watched kids in the pool and saw the port slowly slipping away.

      Back in the stateroom, our bags had been delivered so we unpacked. This mini suite is about 50 sq ft bigger than the normal stateroom I remember from previous NCL cruises, but there is so much storage and nice amenities included.

      ... br> Lunch: Goode’s Barbecue for Texas style barbecue (brisket). Yum-yum! Brisket, cole slaw, Texas toast with jalapeņos, and beans. Jim had pinto beans with jalapeņos while Barbara had Austin style baked beans (beans, pork belly, pieces of brisket, red bell peppers, onions and apples-what a surprise). Both were delicious.

      School is done for Term 1, 2014!!!
      Friday night was CYC and we headed out to North Houston Hall for 7.30 start. Matt is not technically old enough but we let him go for this last time.
