Iowa is NOT flat.
We left the campsite in the morning to meet John in Stockton, where the farm he is staying this summer is. It was a cool ride along the Mississippi river. Had a flat as we left the campsite, so I bought a new tire later that, Deutsch qualitat! Since we were going to meet John in the evening, we asked him to take our bags in his car. ... it's a confusing tangle of corridors and long lines to do that, with almost no signs telling you how to navigate the mess. But we persevered. And now we're in summary mode, thinking of things we liked and places we'd like to have visited or visit again in Scotland. ... but unfortunatley a bit of a wasted journey. But, one never knows what gem one will find. The museum is in anold picture theatre and that was good to see.
Stayed at a State Park for $16. Lovely.

We drove through Adel to look at the square. It was worth it. We often drive into a small town, down the main street and then back out again along the back streets to look at the houses. Most of them are beautiful, some not and different ...
... to go out - plus they really wanted to hang out in this big house. So we chilled out home. Laneshia and Aria hung out watching a movie while I read a bit and Jadin just stuck close to his laptop.
Laneshia, Aria and I slept in the huge basement which felt like having a house to ourselves since everything we needed was down there. Jadin slept on the upstairs floor in his own room along with my parents and Shaunette in their rooms. ...
