    ... flight to Dallas, where my lovely wife was waiting for me. I was home by about 10:00 but it felt like late afternoon. The whole trip from the time I left the hotel for the airport until I arrived home had taken about 35 hours.

    From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

    Finally, our plane was delayed and we didn't have to hurry so much. Did the Russians were on time? I have no idea, and honestly I don't care :)

    ... out of luck – 40 minutes later a nurse called me through. I had: an eye test, my oxygen sats read, my weight and height calculated, my pulse read, my BP done, a full family and medical history – I felt like screaming – just give me the antibiotics for my eye, we have to go!
