Day 11 May 20 T Rome: Arrived Civitavecchia, bus to Rome (Elena)- Hotel Ambasciatori, forgot hat on bus-returned next day,, walked to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fondation, lunch at local restaurant, pizza across street from hotel (waiter's wife worked in Baton Rouge)

... LSU, so we decided to hit the highway again to find cheaper accommodation further out. Eventually came across a Tanger outlet mall with loads of restaurants and hotels nearby, so have pitched up somewhere called Gonzales, LA.
Went for a walk around the shops, had dinner at Chilis and now back to the hotel for bed :)
Drop the car off in New Orleans tomorrow, which will be the last leg of the tour :( It's been amazing, and I hope New Orleans gives us a good send ...
