Following John's tactic, we set our early Tuesday morning the 27th to be at the front of the queue for admission to St. Mark's Basilica at San Marco. We succeeded beyond expectations and found ourselves first in the queue much like John the previous day at the Campanile. ... LSU, so we decided to hit the highway again to find cheaper accommodation further out. Eventually came across a Tanger outlet mall with loads of restaurants and hotels nearby, so have pitched up somewhere called Gonzales, LA.
Went for a walk around the shops, had dinner at Chilis and now back to the hotel for bed :)
Drop the car off in New Orleans tomorrow, which will be the last leg of the tour :( It's been amazing, and I hope New Orleans gives us a good send ...
