... and celebration as we sat down and shared our stories. Ian is a fabulous host, generous and attentive. It suddenly dawns on us that there are no bars and razor wire, quite the contrary, it's peaceful and full of warmth. The weather is cool and has a feel of autumn. ... park reading my book, I decided to start reading something cosy so Pride and Prejudice was chosen. I could have stayed there the whole day but I was chased away by ducks who wanted my bench.

... sure, we were off and 65 minutes later landing at YYZ - home to many. Again, with new kiosks Customs and entry was a breeze and we picked up bags and the goodbyes began.

On February 4, 2014 a group of relative strangers gathered in the departure lounge at Pearson International Airport to begin an African adventure; 22 days later that same group of friends bid each other a tearful goodbye.
