We have chosen to tent it the first night, good prep for the Canyon and another chance to ensure we have not forgotten anything. $40 for a tent site at KOA seems high to me for a piece of dirt for the night but it is what it is. We setup and sleep comes easy as a summer breeze blows through the camp.

... You see nothing but rock. Ohhh and snow. We only stopped once at the top because we didn't want to be stranded in the upcoming snowstorm that was moving in fast. ... a coyote all decided to cross the road in front of us or just stroll alongside the bus before crossing. Very cool to see them up so close.
