... We opted for the centre near the museums, which was an odd choice given there's no chance Gem (let alone Bardy) would visit a museum. As ever, is was searingly hot, there was no breeze and the Tarmac felt hot through my flip flops. We scurried down a few back streets and managed to find some shade and some giant drums lying around (see photo). ... distance at all. In retrospect it would have been far simpler and time effective to have gone from Tioman straight up to Kapas; then from there to the Perhentians; from there to Kota Bharu; from there to Taman Negara; and then finally back to KL from there. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!
