... large grassed area for playing games, holding events and for RV's (motor homes) to camp. It has a great play area for children and there is a lifeguard on duty in the designated swimming area. A beautiful central area for those holidaying in the area. A paved walkway with occasional seating and gazebos follows the river shoreline for a couple of kms. I went for a swim at Iron Ring i.e. bailed out of the boat after it flipped and had to swim to shore while the group retreated my boat, paddle, shoes etc, then proceeded to swim across the rapid (which actually made for a fun experience). I thought about abandoning ship when we were scouting the next rapid but figured the worst that could happen my ego would take a(nother) hit after I go for another ...
