... into Peppers Guest house and enjoyed a cheese platter with a glass of Pinot Gris sitting outside on the veranda. 40 winks then walk around the estate to get some steps registered. Could only see kangaroo in distance so aim for early start in morning to go sighting. ... that there was a non-existent short cut through thick bush over a mountain but eventually we arrived home around 4:30. Ayla immediately headed out with her friends and had a lovely time – even somehow managed to convince them of her superhuman bravery after falling over and gravel rashing both her knees. Home, sorted out who bought what, opened some wine, dukkah, olives and prawns on the verandah before cooking dinner. Yum!!!!

... salad rolls with leftover beef from the weber roast the other night.

After lunch I went for a cycle to and around Lake Munmorah. Heather took it easy then put on the TV to watch the ANZAC day football.

Late this afternoon we went for a walk to Vales Point to watch the sun setting. We were a little late but did get some great shots of the red sky. We also got some great shots of the full moon and it's reflection on the water.

... The Great Dividing Range is a mountain range that runs from the top of Cape York and the Daintree Rainforest all the way to the southern tip of the east coast of Australia. It's not mountainous in the Canadian sense of the Rockies, instead is more like very large hills. Regardless, it is a very scenic drive and doesn't have near as many small towns or construction projects on it to slow us down.
