      ... during their period in the Philippines and later was occupied by the Japanese during the last half of WWII. Upon the Japanese being ousted from Manila, they destroyed several portions of Intramuros. It remains an important piece of history and the centerpiece of the history of Manila.

      Unfortunately the river and Manila Bay are not well-cared for and quite dirty. Some day we will see Manila Bay and the Pasig River clean ...

      ... then a traditional Pinoy dish 'Veg Laing' which is tarot leaves cooked in coconut milk and served with red rice and a peanut bitter choc chip ice cream for pudding. I didn't realise it was began ice cream. It was weird but everything else was delicious. I felt stuffed when I left. It was worth it though. It was treat yourself food, not the kind of food you'd eat everyday. I was going to go for a walk and it started raining do that out paid to that. ...

      Today is another big day for us as we near the end of a most memorable journey to the Philippines. Today 93 people will meet for services on the Sabbath. Most are from Metro Manila, however a few came from San Carlos and Baguio City in the north. One lady traveled 7 hours to be here by bus. We had 146 for services last week in Davao. It's been a great visit to see so many of our Filipino brethren.
