I made it to Lagos yesterday. Its basically a beach/party town. The second place that I walked into turned out to be a really great room for 25 euros a night complete with my first english language tv of the trip. Today I spent part of the day in Sagres, the southwestern most point in europe. Good for pictures and walking really really far. Tomorrow I´m going to attempt to get to Seville.
... or scenery so beautiful. For two hours we sailed the coast of Portugal, sipped Sangria and swam in the ocean! Later that night we went and watched the sunset on the Southern most tip of Portugal, Sagres. After that we headed back to Lagos for dinner and another night of festivities. We had some authentic Portuguese food and then a few of us decided to skip the club scene for the evening and go ...
Lagos, Faro, Portugal aperisee... and had a good time. The only thing i sthat i was sad to leave lagos. I really felt home there in a sense that i was there for a coulpe days...well portugal in general. But, i bought my ticket...Sigh, to Sevilla. and it was my time to meet up with Sean, Kevin and Chris...three dudes from back home. A time to actually travel not solo. A change of pace. But, i recommend anyone to go to Portugal. Thta has definately been the best week of my trip, so far.
... Yes, we were horrified as they continued to follow us and photograph us on our way to the hostel. We kind of felt like celebrities...this was further intensfied by us being mistaken for a 6 girl pop group by one of the german men in our hostel. Sometimes we even sell out in Nunavut.
The next day we did the free walking tour, which was more like exploring the city with a Portuguese friend. Wandering the streets, we walked up to the castle for some ...
... and I are pretty athletic and good looking, so we made it back 2nd out of the whole group (not that we brag about it or anything).
We spent our last day with a yum brunch at Cafe Odeon, relaxing on one of our favourite beaches and had another delicious BBQ before heading out for a few drinks on the town
We could have stayed here forever, but all good things must come to an end.. and we wanted to have seen at least one more place in Portugal before heading to Italy!
I recently returned from a beautiful vacation with my girlfriend in Lagos. As a symbol of our commitment, we purchased a pair of brown coconut rings in the main square. There were hundreds of them and they were 1-2 euros.
I broke mine the other day and she is disappointed because of what it represented to her. I'm ...
... t go down until about 9.30pm so we never have to rush to get there by a certain time which is awesome... the sunnier the better! after sunbaking, we headed home and got ready for dinner. we went to a restaurant and had swordfish and salmon and cocktail prawns for entrees... i must admit it was very romantic haha! whilst we were eating, so many groups of our new friends we met walked past... the austrians, french and belgiums... it was pretty funny as ...
Lagos, Algarve, Portugal miss-vixen... headed for some waves. On the way down to Sagres beach on the west coast i saw the Good Feeling Surf House in a little town halfway between Lagos and Sagres and had remembered reading some pretty good reviews so stopped in on my way back form my surf. Met 2 of the friendliest brits ever who had been staying there for a couple of weeks and decided to keep my trip as a chill out surf trip rather than a party hard ...
Lagos, Algarve, Portugal rusty_oz... throw the line in down the 60 metre cliff and wait for a bite, so they must have a very sensitive hand. I wondered for a while whether this was more or less dangerous than the rock fishing common back home and came to the conclusion one is probably as dangerous as the other, but a bigger splat is involved here. We left them to it. What ended ...
