Capítulo 27- Feliz Navidad

In the United States, many Jewish people have their own traditions on Christmas day, that do not include the typical traditions. For example, my family has previously ordered Chinese food on Christmas day and gone to the movie theaters. I always wondered though what it was like to celebrate Christmas with a family that celebrates the holiday, and this past Christmas I had that opportunity with my friend Simon's family in Germany!

... back up and running, so to speak. We jumped on a bus directly across the street from us and rode to the city centre where we de-bussed (not a word in the dictionary I think).

We got off the bus at the opera house and began a stroll down a busy pedestrian street populated with all the big and small European brand names and an Apple Store.

... We visited the St.Nicholas church and St.Paul church. The latter was the first place for the German Parliament and has a long history. There are at least 6 museums in that area which can be visited. We ate a simple lunch of coffee and bretzels. We crossed the Berliner street to the main shopping artery of Zeil street.
