... have been that it was a larger town. The information I'd been given about his headstone was accurate, and we located his burial site easily. This cemetery had been the community cemetery well before the war, with family tombs covered in names and memorials. In a separate section, crosses marked the graves of French soldiers and the occasional German one.

Misty and colder today. A longer journey of 178 miles to this campsite but we left at 8.30 unfortunately getting lost round Rouen so not arriving until 2 p.m. However, there safely and glad to be so. Rained all night, so packed the tent up wet. The across to St Sever Cemetery which is quite large and WOODLAND not in any of the book lists so found him by looking at date of death and also a special section for officers ??? Then off to Saint Marie Cemetery which was also very large and had 5 CWGC sections...Finally found the last soldier for this trip and headed north to find the campsite for the ...

Not sure what was going on this morning as the girls were waking up a bit too early for my liking so I was very tired to start the day and basically lay in bed until 11 trying to sleep and dozing on and off.
