... 3.40 train to Milan. This is our last train of interrailing:( Can't say it's our favourite though, in fact it's probably the worst. The air conditioning consists of windows and the leather seats are not the nicest to sit on in the sweltering heat. Lucy thinks she is going to die, or she did until she fell asleep anyway. Emma's blond hair attracted some more strange Italian youths who wished her a 'goodbye princess' several times which woke her ...

Currently we are sat on the bus coming back to the hostel from sirmione. It had been suggested to us as one of the quieter beaches of Garda. Maybe the receptionist got the wrong end of the stick as it definitely wasn't a quiet area. However it was pretty and the water was a lot nicer than Peschiera, so we've decided to forgive him. ... it was hiding behind some clouds. Being a ginger it suited me just fine. Returning to the hostel at 6pm we were aiming to eat the cheap meals the hostel was offering. After having showers we found out that the food was up on the rooftop bar and was free! Nothing's ever free. Catch was that we had to buy a drink to eat from the buffet. €5 and a 'sex on the beach' later we filled out plates multiple times with the buffet food. Emma had a ...

I don't want to leave Verona specifically because of the air conditioning. Did something really stupid. I decided to walk to the train station. I thought if I walked slowly it would be okay. Not a good idea. Very hot. I watched a bit of the Italian TV news and I think they were saying most of Europe is experiencing a heat wave. I'm counting the seconds until I board the train. AND guess what? Now that I'm on board the ...

... arrival will purchase a ticket for a performance of the Barber of Seville at the Arena. Right now I am the only person in this car and unless other people board in Milano I truly will be traveling alone. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Hotel Mastino that we found at the last minute is only a few minutes walk to the Arena. Had to walk across the street to another part of the hotel but the room though compact was really ...
