... We had been told that the dragon bridge breathes fire and water at 9pm on a Sunday so we ventured out the centre of a bridge near our hotel so we could watch. As we sat waiting in the middle of the river it was cool to see all the lights of the city reflect in the water with a number of bridges changing colour as well it added to the enjoyment - Vicky even tried her time-lapse function on her phone to take it all in. Sure enough the dragon did ...

I bought a pair of elephant shorts and two tank tops (I never wear shorts and tank tops at home but it's so hot here I need them!) We also bought two silk "sleeping sheets" for use in any future sleeper trains. We sure could have used them on the train and will likely be on a sleeper train in a future trip (hopefully ...

... luggage check. EVERY TIME, EVERY single time this happens to me and I ask 'Do I look like a terrorist? ' or is just that I look like a little old lady who would be gullible to carry for someone else? You can all have an opinion on that but keep them to yourselves. Bob finds it very funny. Vietnam Airways were good and with the plane not full there was plenty of room to spread out. Loved their uniforms and food OK. Sleep alluded me yet again but caught up on a couple ...
