... tickets for the gondola ride down. It was well deserved. I sure was not going to walk all the way down the mountain, having just climbed it.
In the gondola, again, the view was enjoyed and it proved to be exciting. It took a good 8 to 10 minutes. Once we got out of it, we proceeded walking around the place and do some window shopping. We spoiled ourselves by buying a Beavertail. It is pastry made to look just like a beaver ...
... with is a paramedic - perfect! (I may have mentioned that before...can't remember...)
We had a wonder around, then went to Charles' sister's bed and breakfast in Mont Tremblant - it was a fantastic place with loads of really nice, vintage furniature and an old piano and a bar from Paris! And we had a very pleasant picnic outside with Charle's family. Twas a lovely excursion all in all!

... dos!)

Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada mckelsos... across the Pont Laviolette (which I have been admiring from afar for like, 5 weeks). Lucky us, we got to cross it twice, since the first time we went through it, we were going the wrong way. :)
... we set out for a full day of skiing. I was a little cautious at first because I hadn't skied since I took that jump and hurt my knee which landed me on crutches. However, after a little warm up I was racing with adrenaline and screaming down the black diamond slopes. Wow, do I love skiing. I know this is kind of an odd thing to mention but the McDonalds in St Sauveur is worth a visit. I'm not normally a huge fan but this place is not the normal franchise ...

Piedmont, Quebec, Canada aildoux... had canoes, which we took out on the lake. I sat in the front and rambled to Laura about Swallows and Amazons and keeping a wary eye on the banks for rogue squirrels. Canoeing is actually really easy, as long as you have someone much stronger in the back doing all the work. After Laura had exhausted herself and I'd scared all the squirrels (even the black ones) away and run out of things to talk about, we walked down the road to ...
Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada bigredrucksack... was just to do it. So we did. That's right we did our first Canadian BLACK RUN!!!!! The rest of the day we chose to stick to blue runs and we were getting pretty good by the end of the day and we were absolutely flying down the mountain carving our way down. For the record I only fell over twice once after I stopped (go figure) and the other was getting off the ski lift where my skis got tangled with someone else's skis.
