... in Cartago. I had so much time, I thought id be fun to visit my friend in the hospital. I thought I had plenty of time. I got there within the hour and visited with her. The private hospital suggested to us is amazing. The cafeteria has the best cappuccinos, salads and desserts. The rooms are private, huge, with their own flat screen TV’s and a futon where guests can stay. My friend was generous enough to allow me to watch HGTV. AWESOME!! I left, allowing myself ...
Tortuguero, Province of Limon, Costa Rica flitterjahr... they didn't have Patron so he had to settle for Jose Cuervo- yet another disappointment. Then they gave him his shot with a side of lime juice as they didn't have any fresh limes. Oh dear God, can it get any worse?
Once again mercy was bestowed upon us as 15 minutes later our waiter, Byron, returned with an unopened bottle of Patron and some limes! He evidently walked down the street to find some, particularly impressive ...
... to be an aphrodisiac) and they out number our patrols by about 10 to 1. We walk along the beach with a guild until you see a leather back coming out the water ( unless a poacher sees it first) it will crawl along the sand until it finds a nice spot, dig a hole about 75 Cm's deep then drop its eggs. That's when we catch them in a bag, wright down its tag number (or tag it if its not been in before) and measure the length of the shell witch on average is 150 cm . Between the two of ...
puerto limon, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica barryandmaja... to our boat, we could face it eye to eye!! So scary!!). All the calmness and silence was gone, when we headed towards mainland again to La Fortuna, where the most famous out of all costarican volcanoes, the Arenal, is at its ground. Staying in ´Gringos Pete´, a purple painted hostel that first worried us a bit, was a cheap and nice place, from where we could discover the places around. We went for a night lava tour (with lava guarantee, if you don't see it the night you book the ...
Tortuguero, Province of Limon, Costa Rica aileenchen... to myself anyways. So he hooked me up and gave me a push and all I can tell myself is don't look down (or else you'll break and they have to save your ass in the middle of this long zip line) ...just look ahead ... but all you see is the zipline on a cloud background ... and no end in sight! I had to keep it together. You don't know how happy I was when I saw the landing! LOL The funny thing I was still nervous through all the zip lines until we reached the 3rd last ...
Monteverde, Costa Rica lisatsen... the news I went speechless. I`ve just found out that I`ll be transfered due to the... cabin issues. They basically don`t have enuogh of cabins here and I`d have to share a cabin with a guy, starting from the next cruise... I said to my manager that I don`t mind, don`t care, but in order to transfer me, you also have to transfer/send here another 2 guys, which means 3 plane tickets booked already... I know that Brilliance where I`m supposed to go is a ...
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica bogna... to do with my upcoming holidays, I knew it would probably involving volunteering at some point. Then I surfed the Internet a lot. Somehow, I can't remember how I found out about Tropical Adventures, but when I found them - I knew right away that was the program I had been looking for. It looked like a good mix of ...
All over Costa Rica, Costa Rica tropicalcr... to join us so Rachel and I went down to the bar for a cervesa. We sat out on the deck overlooking the jungle canopy and enjoying the isolation. Once Darren arrived we decided to move inside from the deck to have dinner. Dinner was good and we were very happy. After a nice leisurely meal we headed back to our rooms for a good night sleep. Rachel and Darren headed into their room and me into mine. I brushed my teeth and hopped into bed. I was ...
Monteverde, Costa Rica craigandsarah11/10/05 Puerto Limon, Costa Rica Today was slothful. We took a boat ride on a local river and spotted several sloths (they were moving as it was breakfast time). The cutest was a mother with her baby. The baby clung to mama while she foraged in the tree top. Did I mention how cute they were? We saw a beautiful orange ...
