    ... lush a bit like Byron hinterland. Then the surf beaches and rock formations reminded me a little of point perry near Coolum. Nice! Of course this place has a style all its own we're in Japan! :) Very excited to be here. Destination: Shimoda and our home for 3 nights at Shirahama beach.     ... some more we find out they also serve what he describes as a "smorgasbord" with free wine from the Winery. Smorgasbord it will be.... it's a fairly large buffet with Japanese and Western style food, replenished when needed and quite tasty. A busload of Chinese tourists also has dinner here, a busy evening for the restaurant for sure. A red and a white wine from the Naka-Izu Winery are free, you do have to play for a beer though.     ... and passenger compartments are separated by a glass wall. The first two rows are theater wise so everybody has a good view out the front window. Seats by row are two on the left and one on the right, we have 3 seats behind each other on the right, all window seats.
