... horrific ones too. There is an English theatre, it's closed at the moment but outside is a cupboard with novels in and on it a sign saying that they are free to take. They are all in English and make an effort to entice others to read and learn our language. Imagine a Polish theatre in London that did that. How would that go down. I see a bus saying Frankfurt ...

... Germany, birthdays are to be celebrated on the day of one's birth. They can't be moved around for convenience. Also, the person celebrating the birthday must bring something into the office to share with their co-workers. Brandon promised them key lime pie, not considering that a health conscious nation such as Germany may not routinely carry the key ingredient to key lime pie, sweetened condensed milk. Sometime last week, we found out that GM is speaking with the German union board (or something fancy like that) about cutting ...

For the past few weeks we have been enjoying several German Christmas traditions -- including visiting numerous Christmas Markets, St Nicolas day (6 Dec) and even had our First Snow day just a few days before Christmas.

Of course - being away from home, we miss our own traditions and this year we embarked in attempting to make tamales at home. They came out great !!!

    Miss ya :)
