My last stop in Greece
Today we stopped in Kavalla, which is a nice seaside town about halfway between Meteora and Galipolli, our next stop. It was 39 degrees here! The main thing to see is the Old Town, which is up on a hill and has a small castle at the top. It was a hot walk, but worth it for the views. I also bought a little blue over-the-should fake Marc Jacobs bag to use during the day.

Kavala, doğudan gelen yolda son virajları dönerken çok güzel kent manzarası veriyor. Bu profili ile biraz Marmaris'e benziyor. Burundaki Panagia kilisesi Kavala'lı Mehmet Ali Paşa'nın evi ile komşu.

Enttäuschung in Kavàla
... einzige solche Erfahrung bleiben. Wir freuen uns auf Kavŕla und aufs Meer und aufs Hotel Lucy, das uns Freddy als heutiges Ziel vorgegeben hat. Das Hotel sieht grossartig aus, schöner Strand, schöner Pool, nur ist es ausgebucht. Wir können uns zwar am Pool etwas erholen aber dann fahren wir weiter, auf einer ruppigen Küstenstrasse und müssen uns mit einem mediokren Appartement zufrieden geben.
