3 sunny days in Cabo!

... not that the price was good but it was considerably cheeper than it would have been otherwise. Tying up at the dock always comes with showers, and that is always a welcome advantage!

We've eaten some delicious local cuisine and have had one or two margaritas/beers. Kevin apparently was paying better attention during spanish class then he let on because he is whipping out the spanish left and right! Kevin and Zach have ...

Finally to Mexico!

... very cool to get to see them so close to the boat. A group of three actually surfaced about 20 ft from the boat and then dove under the boat and surfaced on the other side. The water was so clear that we were able to see them as they went under the boat. It was a very cool thing to get to see. We also got to see a few sea turtles along the way. One was just cruising along with a little fish right under it, like they were buddies and just ...

Simply GORGEOUS!

... br>Trip was fast and seas were rough - it was a blast.

After dropping off Anthony, we went out to the point. There is a spot where the seals lay out and our guide started calling to them (was kind of freaky how accurately he sounded).

We took endless pictures - it was really amazing to see eveything up close.

Got back about 45 minutes later. Worth EVERY penny!

Not much to see in CSL - so we rode the tender back.

SERENITY NOW!

... patio overlooking the ocean. It was a nice area, we just had to shoo away these persistent pigeons every once in a while - no biggie. Once we were done enjoying our pinot noirs, we walked out and sat in these rustic rocking chairs. This was one of my favorite parts of the Sunset Beach resort. At the entrance there is a long corridor to the left and along the length of the corridor are dozens of rocking chairs. They're ...

All good things must come to an end...

If a trashed car is a good indication of a successful day trip, we qualify! Nice drive home ( have the best guide in Baja), lots of oohs and ahs and LOTS of cows. How many is too many? Note: all photos taken from car window – a few chopped heads.

And I'm sure we'll sleep sound tonight...

Canyons and Hot Springs

... we figured we would at least stop off at the hot springs. Taking the main dirt road out of town we drove directly to the mouth of a canyon....also the location of the hot springs. Checking our map we realized we must be in the town of Agua Caliente (Hot Water); so far so good. There is a primitive, yet functional, wooden arm gate about a mile from the hot springs. As this area is a Federal park, there was a nominal fee to enter, camp and enjoy the hot ...

... to the core. Above the arched entrance to the church is a tile mosaic depicting the murder of Nicholas Tamaral, a Jesuit priest butchered by the natives when he declared polygamy illegal and excommunicated one of the natives. Some 300 centuries later San Jose is a charming old colonial town of better than average restaurants, galleries, and shops hawking fine handcrafted silverware. The perfect foil to the tourist horde of San Lucas, the town's ...

La Paz back to Cabo San Lucas

... excitement we had was the day when a frantic call went out on the VHF radio from a cruiser whose wife had dislocated her (artificial) hip. After many calls with no immediate help on the way, Marilyn volunteered us to at least try and make her comfortable while they worked out a definitive treatment plan. Eric was already ashore, so another cruiser picked her up in his dinghy and with the medical supplies took her to shore. We were met by yet another cruiser who had driven over from ...
