... we were there and asked us to wait a little longer. We were all annoyed at this point, concerned that we were "wasting" our dinner opportunity on a place that was obviously not ready for us. ... as you could see. The towns are sprinkled everywhere and joined by an excellent network of well maintained roads. That said, the roads are all extremely narrow and invariably windy. It became a running joke that the roads were all well marked, with white lines drawn to indicate the outer edges and the median. That said, the roads' width would vary widely, but not the lines, so more often than not the lane in which I was driving was a foot or more too ...
... might have been able to turn around, but as it was, there were several cars there. My only choice seemed to be to back all the way back down the hill and park in the church square. Still not knowing what the stairs I hit looked like, or even where they were, I did not relish that idea in the least.

The campsite was very good but because it is surrounded by flooded rice fields and salt marsh it was plagued by mosquitos. We did get too many bites but they are annoying!
One thing we did do on the way to Eucaliptus beach was give Florance a much needed wash. We had filled up with fuel and got a deal on an automated car wash. With hindsight it was a bit of a gamble, but she came out clean and undamaged.
... This place is a recommendation if you get to this area of the country.
Back to the Parador de Tortosa to enjoy a walk across the ancient wall and into the historic section of town. One of the highlights was the cathedral, a view of which is in the attached.
We still had lots of food in the "frig," and being full from lunch, we opted for an evening in the room. Beautiful place. ...
