... in a hurry. The next day we took a tour bus around Rome, OMG the history was amazing, Colosseum, Pantheon, Angelo, Di Vinci the Roman and Christians. The Pantheon was simply amazing. After 2 days in Rome we headed to the Camp ground in Grimaud, South of France. 5 Days finally relaxing a little? ... I'll let you have a lick, but that's about it! Lol We board the ship at 1:00pm and head on over to island #2, Vulcano. It's a lot smaller here, don't know how many people, but you can tell it's not much. This island is a dormant volcano, but has a lot of sulfer still reaching the surface, so the smell is potent in certain areas. You can even take mud baths. But we don't. ... arrive at the restaurant, we go to a huge room with a long table and plenty of seats for 30+ people. Pizza and arancini (rice ball) is passed around and later biscotti cookies! Yummy! Two brothers begin playing old Sicilian songs on the guitar and the entire group starts singing and clapping! In the corner, a group of young girls dance in a small circle, tarantella style! ... called Raccuja. It's a nice 40 minute drive from where we are staying. It's high on a mountain, but easily accessible on well paved roads. Our first stop is the municipality (aka Town Hall) where everybody is registered when born, married, and/or dies. We are able to get a photocopy of my fathers birth certificate! My father no longer has family actually living here but we enjoy strolling through the town and talking to people. He was 8 yrs old when he left Raccuja ...
