Lovely little place where Columbus stopped for water on his voyages. Went for a walk and found a bar with wifi. When we got back to the ship we had a very late lunch at about 2.15. Didn't bother with a sweet as afternoon tea started at 2.30 so had a tea cake and cakes instead. In the evening went to the dancing after champagne at the jewellery store. On our way down Martin was in the back when his bike ...

... pool for a BBQ dinner that evening. The had a full grill with lamb, pork, beef being made to order. Then a full set of salads, sides and deserts. We enjoyed our dinner with Ava and Bill and Cindy who are regular backroads bikers. This was their eleventh trip and they shared some great tips. They are also booked to be in Richmond this September for the UCI world cycling event. We were all ready to get some sleep having survived the long travel ...

... br> We were a short distance from the tranquil waters of the Baha de la Concha, a safe and protected body of water opening onto the Bay of Biscay. Two dominant headlands rise at each end creating a sweeping semi-circular harbour that must extend about four of five kms from headland to headland I guess.

Most of the sweeping semi-circle has lovely yellow sand feeding down to the tranquil waveless waters of the Baha. A small rocky island (Isla de Santa Clara) lies in ...
