Today was our final biking so it started early at 8am. The tour of the ocean and banana plantations was amazing. This island continues to try and make a profit thru bananas but the competition is tough. The route was 11.5 miles with winding, rolling roads all along the sea. We got back to turn everything in and begin our wind down. Our last lunch was at the pool in beautiful sunny ...

... our deck soaking up the views. Tonight was our final dinner so we met in the hotel bar for drinks and a musical group from the canaries. Dinner was in the hotel banquet room featuring delicious watercress soup, cod, pork and chocolate. To top the evening off Billie had composed a fantastic song to the jingle bell tune. The group has been a great one and everyone headed to bed very happy ready for our last ride in the ...

Today started early with a 5:45 breakfast to board the bus at 6:15. The whole group made it on time and we headed to the airport. We checked in for a 7:40 flight from Las Palmas to Tennerife. It was short 30 minute flight then luggage and breakfast bags to go on the bus. The bus ride seemed like we had entered into the Pacific Northwest forests with tall trees and green vegetation.we all dressed in our warmest layers to start the ride. After ...

Partying the night before having to catch a flight the next day, is never such a good idea in hindsight. We got back about 3:30 and had to pack. Bye bye Tenerife, the dream ends for now at least. I said an optimistic goodbye to Darina who is staying in Tenerife, but at an apartment, and also said goodbye to Cecile, Brian, Miguel and Patrick, just some of the nice people I met. The ...

... br> We were a short distance from the tranquil waters of the Baha de la Concha, a safe and protected body of water opening onto the Bay of Biscay. Two dominant headlands rise at each end creating a sweeping semi-circular harbour that must extend about four of five kms from headland to headland I guess.

Most of the sweeping semi-circle has lovely yellow sand feeding down to the tranquil waveless waters of the Baha. A small rocky island (Isla de Santa Clara) lies in ...
