We had a leisurely 15 km walk today. Conditions were cloudy to begin with but brightened over the morning as the cloud broke up into beautiful balls of cotton. We started with a climb up Round Hill, the penultimate C2C climb. Once we reached the summit we again had beautiful views across to the east and back at yesterday's path over the 3 hills. ... impressive cluster of boulders on the side of Hasty Bank. We paused here momentarily for a drink and a photo then pressed on to White Hill. This was the hill from which we needed to call our B&B to arrange pick up at Clay Bank Top. There is no accommodation there necessitating a short car ride to Chop Gate for our overnight stay. ... I was pleasantly surprised at the size and impressiveness of this particular church. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday so the grand organ was playing, the choir was in full song, and there was a real service being performed (though cloistered away from the tourist curious). It was pretty awesome to be in one of these Cathedrals to hear how the acoustics function!

Well, I guess there's no turning back now! I've been able to catch up lots of people who are important to me over the last couple of weeks and I'm feeling excited about departing. A lovely family dinner of my mum's amazing spaghetti bolognese was a welcome tonic, and a reminder of what I'll be leaving behind.
