      Dear Emre and Kerem,

I made a habit of stopping by old, very old, religious sites and this is one of them. A monk from Anatolia came to Northern Cyprus and built this monastery in the 12. century and dedicated it to Mary, Jesus' mom. It's fairly well-preserved with orchards around it. ... A delightfully tasty wine and one of my favourite. It is served at the price of €28.25, - €7.50 per glass.

For meat dishes highly recommended is the Kyperounda Cabernet Sauvignon. It leaves a sensuously lingering aftertaste and it is of excellent structure and full flavoured. It is served at the price of €44.25 (per bottle) and €12.00 (per glass).

If you are at the Hilton you can accompany the above wine with ...

At a corner of the Turkish section of Nicosia I stumble upon a small niche in the scorched wall. It is just past three in the afternoon, and the streets are empty. Actually. half of the old, walled city looks a bit deserted most of the day; both on the Turkish and Greek side of the demilitarized zone. But there are quite a few ...
