Beach day
... heading back to the beach. If you could not tell by our last few entries, the beach here is really nice and we are enjoying some RR on the beach. There are also numerous 4 & 5 star resorts here. The dive shop we used was located in one of them and mentioned we could use their pool if we wanted. This also was one of the few times lately that it paid to be a foreigner and white as once inside the resort we easily fit in and no one even bothered us. ...
Sri Lanka baby
... is a luxury when you don't have to ask the man downstairs to turn it on an hour before you want a hot shower. I think only two place in India had hot running water. Anyway, again it's the little things keeping me happy here. I've just order a fish platter which on the menu is down for 2750 Rs thought I'd treat myself after a 24 hour journey. Negombo Day 1
... making such a loud noise it startled us - We then turned round to the driver and said no but he brought the bananas anyway to feed them himself. Nick ended up taking half the bunch anyway as they weren't feeding them by hand....just chucking them over the fence. It was fantastic!! In total along this same road we counted 20 wild elephants and 1 elephant in a temples grounds.

Ruins the final chapter
... the ruins were amazing in there own right but that being said after everything else we had seen in the past few days and the architecture all being similar i think we could have skipped this one and not missed out so much, of course you never know this until you go ...

We had booked a room in another place for that night but seeing that it was in the middle of nowhere we asked the taxi driver to take us somewhere better and this was his choice. It was ok for what we paid, air condition absolutely needed in sri lanka was provided. Right next to the beach, swimming pool nothing special. I would probably not repeat but it was a good last minute option
