We celebrated our fiftieth wedding anniversary with a trip with our daughter and her husband. This was in July 2006. We visited Austria first nice, and then Slidre, Norway. In Norway we visited my ancestral farm, the Nesja farm in Slidre. The present owner Oyvind Nesja and his family were very gracious. They wined and dined us and showed all the sights.

... mini table fan. Aircondition here means leaving the windows open. Our room have a transparent dark blind to keep the glare out but not much of the heat. We made good use of the hot weather and did our laundry. They dry within 3 hours! We took a stroll around our hotel and went back for buffet dinner. Chris had developed a sore throat while I have fully recovered. We retired early for her to rest at 10pm. The sun didn't set until around midnight.
