... place exactly where Rizal’s home was built. Although the structures built around the park are just replicas of the original, you can imagine how simple Jose Rizal’s life was during his exile in this city.

Inside the park, you will find the house of Dr. Jose Rizal built on its original location. Just at the vicinity of the house is an open kitchen where he used to cook his meals. There is also a huge piece ...

After Boracay, we flew directly to Dumegette in Southern Negros. We immediately left the city, taking a really long trike ride to Malatapay Beach. Although only 28 km from the airport, the trike drove between 10-15 km an hour, so it was slow going. From there, we took a public bangka (the stereotypical boat of the Philippines which we've used numerous times now) across the water to Apo Island. This ride was again slow. Its really amazing how we would exert such great effort, money and time (sacrifice going through a rough and long travel...whatever it takes) just to be with family and loved ones again.

        Dipolog is a beautiful City. It's ...
