After a short flight of 45 minutes we arrived at Chiang Mai airport 13th. We found ourselves some accommodation at The Top North Hotel. We went for a wander again a mass of markets line every street still celebrations from the Queens Birthday, we got straight into it. First Day in the CIty
I arrived in Thailand all good and safe. Now our build doesn't start until tomorrow, so today I had the chance to explore the city. Our hotel is in a fabulous location very close to tons of shops, restaurants, and tons of taxi drivers willing to take you anywhere you would like, for very cheap. A few people from my Habitat group were already here, …
Cobras and Tigers and Birthday Challenges...Oh My!
Chiang Mai is often disputed as “Thailand's second largest city," but it is nothing like it's big brother, Bangkok: traffic and pollution is minimal, living costs are much more affordable and village life, forests and waterfalls are short distances from the city in all directions. There was one other person on the tour, an Irish woman called Isabel who was on …
TravelPod Member ReviewsTop North Hotel Chiang Mai
I stayed only because I shared a room with a friend who had pre-booked. The place is a regular hotel with a swimming pool but as a backpacker I felt it lacked charm and was overpriced. In a convenient location near Tha Pae Gate I would recommend for those on holiday.

The hotel and staff were very nice. Had a little bit of an ant problem in my room, but nothing too gross. Breakfast every morning was nice, and the little alcohol cart outside was super fun to hang out at!
