*We leave Bucharest early since we have 365 km to drive and a border crossing into Bulgaria.

*Fortunately light weekend traffic allows for easy navigation out of the city. The countryside is still flat and uninteresting .

And taking my friends on a 1 hour detour one day to try and find a pizza place i swore and hyped up was the best i had ever tried the night before, only to realise that when tasting it during the day the alcohol had contributed greatly to my opinion of the pizza...it turned out to be one of the worst we had all ever eaten!

The small hotel in Ecebat, the Villa Casa, was delightful and it had wonderful garden where we ate a small picnic supper after the very nice fish lunch we had. After a warm night spent in the garden drinking the local wine (the Sulva vineyard was 300m from the house) and very good too, we didn't get up quite as early as we planned but were still away by 9.30.
